Got A Question?

Knoxville Short Sale Process Can You Speed Them Up?

Here in our "Ask The Expert Area" We had the following question "I am trying to buy a short sale. It has been 4 months and we have heard nothing except that we are now Knoxville Short Sales Move Slowlyon our 2nd negotiator, still with no contact from them. I am getting very frustrated. Is there anything I can do on my end to try to push the process along, or is it all up to the agent? Mary asked.” Here was our answer to her question. It is up to the agent. When you say they are on the second negotiator, it makes me think that the short sale lender is Bank of America. It is not uncommon for them to assign the file to a new negotiator after several months. In fact it is pretty common with many lenders. If you think that the process is going to slow, then find another house. Unless the agent has a proven track record with short sales, then there isn’t much you can do. Even if you do stay on board, you should always be on the lookout for another home. Maybe one where the agent is experienced with short sales. If you are thinking about buying a short sale make sure the listing agent knows what they are doing and have done short sale before. You don't want to be there test case of there first one. They are difficult transactions and take experience and alot of follow-up to make them successfully close. CDPE LogoOne way to tell if the agent knows what they are doing find out if they are a CDPE. You can check it out right on the CDPE website everyone who has been trained as a CDPE is listed. Really pay attention to the Advanced Members on the site they have really gone to the effort to stay on top of the short sale process. Untrained agents can really mess up a short sale and really shouldn't be doing them. If the list agent is untrained at them I would continue to look and find another home because the changes of success are very low. If you want to buy a short sale give us a call and let us know what you are trying to fined. We understand the process and over 85% of our short sales close successfully.
